Music by Christopher Gordon;
Sound design by Luke Dunn Gielmuda

The music on the film's soundtrack was composed, orchestrated and conducted by Australian screen composer Christopher Gordon. Gordon's score embellished the Peter Weir/Russell Crowe hit, Master and Commander. He conducted a ninety-piece orchestra recorded at Studio 301 in Camperdown, Sydney, Australia in early 2003.

The sound design was a labour of love done over a period of six months by three-time MPSE Golden Reel winner Luke Dunn Gielmuda. Australian-born Gielmuda now lives and works in the USA. The soundtrack was mixed by Ren Klyce (Oscar nominee for Best Effects for Fight Club, sound effects editing, and sound designer on Se7en and Panic Room) with Malcolm Fife, sound designer on Mummy Returns and music editor on The Two Towers.

While production was privately funded, Peter received some post production funding from the Australian Film Commission, and proceeded with the neg matching, editing of the footage, and finally, the creation of the film's sound effects and score. The final mix was done in early 2003 in San Francisco, USA.
